But here are some of the beauties I dream about on winter days: Narrow-Leaved Spring Beauty (Claytonia virginica) Jack-in-the-Pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum) Round-Lobed Hepatica (Hepatica americana) Marsh marigolds (Caltha palustris) Rue anemone (Thalictrum thalictroides) Dutchman's breeches (Dicentra cucullaria), a bleeding heart relative Don't ask me to choose a favorite from among this group. But jack-in-the-pulpit is certainly the odd-ball of the lot.
