Observing April gardens makes you feel glad to be alive! Watching Lenten rose push up vigorously out of the earth, unfurling another leaf daily, it's as if some of its vitality were transferred to the viewer....

Landscaping Report for April, 2011

While I'm early with my report, I can't say the same for my plants, which are late this year. Two changes we made have improved our April garden: Moving a 'Contorta' to a more prominent spot and upgrading from the species Scilla to the more robust cultivar, 'Spring Beauty'.

Wisteria Vines
