Danish Atrium House by Johan Sundberg Posted: 17 Jul 2011 01:44 AM PDT This is about glass and wood home by Swedish architect Johan Sundberg, inspired by the typical Danish atrium house style of the '60s and '70s which has an outer brick wall and an inner façade which is mostly glazed. The Danish Atrium House is situated in the heart of Ljungskogen forest, covering larger portions of the Ljunghusen residential area in Vellinge, south of Malmö. The earth is sandy and the flat ground is covered by a young pine forest. The closed-off facade leads you into an interior courtyard house plan with views of a garden surrounded by living spaces. As you tour the home you catch glimpses of other rooms, and of course, nature. Running the inner perimeter, a deck puts the finishing touch on this “indoor” outdoor living house design.
