Modern Nashville House Design with History of Traditional Architecture by Kanner Architects Posted: 13 Jul 2011 05:04 PM PDT This is a modern home design in a city with a history of traditional architecture, Nashville House designed by Kanner Architects and is located in Nashville, Tennessee, USA. The concept idea was to create a home with a striking, sculptural shape that would impose upon its surrounding landscape. The home consists of 4 levels. The two upper levels contain the main living spaces, with the uppermost floor housing a library/study and two bedrooms. The upper floors cantilever over the lower two levels that contain a home theater and garage. The interior of the home is very modern and minimalist, with white walls, wooden flooring, modern furniture and contemporary fixtures. All of the home's windows feature views toward the surrounding nature. The exterior of the home includes an infinity pool extending from the main level, alongside a sloped driveway that swoops up the grassy hill that the home sits on. Photographs: Nicolas O.S. Marques
