From Linda Garrison, your Guide to Cruises
April will be here in just a few days, and the busy Mediterranean cruise season will soon be starting. I love cruising the Mediterranean--the ports of call are diverse and fascinating. Western Mediterranean cruises usually include ports of call in Spain, France, and Italy.

Disney Magic Western Mediterranean Cruise
This cruise journal from the Disney Magic provides a look at the things for families to do and see from the Disney Magic.

MSC Splendida Western Mediterranean Cruise
The MSC Splendida is another ship sailing the western Mediterranean. Its MSC Yacht Club area is a special place to stay on a cruise ship.

Wind Surf - Sailing Ship in the Western Mediterranean
The Disney Magic and MSC Splendida are both large cruise ships, whereas the Windstar Cruises' Wind Surf is a sailing vessel. The ports are a little different, as is the onboard experince.

Rome - The Eternal City
Almost all cruises of the western Mediterranean include Civitavechhia as a port of call since it's the closest port to the Eternal City of Rome.
